Your £84.00 Face for £26.17 with L'Oreal
Being a student with a horrendous shopping addiction means that the majority of the time I am flat broke (sobs). Being a student also means that the majority of the time I cannot afford the beautiful high-end make-up that is out there; and to be honest I find it hard to justify twenty-something pounds for a lip-gloss. Therefore I do my research for the best dupes out there, I read every magazine, an endless list of blogs and watch a ridiculous amount of beauty gurus on YouTube. It wasn't until recently that I noticed a pattern, L'Oreal offer an incredible selection of dupes. Of course add a Boots 3-for-2 offer and the above happened.
I should probably point out that I haven't actually tried the high-end versions but after my intensive stalking of other blogs you can trust me.
First up is the L'Oreal True Match Touche Magique Concealer (£8.19) which is a copy of the YSL Touche Eclat (£25.00). Not going to lie, I still want to try the YSL version to see if it really is that good. I have been loving the L'Oreal version however!
Next is a new found love for me, the L'Oreal True Match Foundation (£9.99) which is a dupe for the Giorgio Armani Luminous Silk Foundation (£35.00), which is a recent cult product. This L'Oreal foundation is aaa-mazing! I have received so many compliments recently while wearing it, it definitely gets a double thumbs up from me (it has even replaced my beloved Rimmel Matte Perfection for top place as my everyday foundation).
Last but not least is the L'Oreal Glam Shine Stain Splash (£7.99) vs YSL Glossy Stain (£23.50). This one baffles me, I am incredibly in love with this lipgloss so I have no idea what the YSL version would need to do for me to justify that amount of money on a lipgloss. The Glam Shine Stain Splash goes on as an ordinary lip-gloss but then dries to the perfect lipstick-like finish. Also this colour is the perfect everyday 'my lips but better' shade (101). I cannot wait to get my hands on a few more of these.
Hope this post has been a help in saving a few pennies or even to try the cheaper version out first before splashing out on the expensive. If I do manage to purchase any of the higher-end products I'll be sure to do a more in depth blog post (I just need to do some saving first).
