My Skincare Routine!

This is honestly something I get asked about SO much! I am ridiculously lucky that recently my skin took a turn for the better, and at the moment it is pretty much flawless. Before I had dry patches, oily patches, spots, scarring and everything else. Now don't get me wrong, it still misbehaves at time, and I still get my usual spot or two around my chin at 'that time of the month' but for the first time ever I am happy to wear very little make-up and even venture out with none (shocking I know). My main tip? Keep it simple! I have tried 5 different potions at night and I find the more you plaster on the worse it is. Find a few products that work for you and give them a chance to work. And that would be my second tip, give it a chance! Don't give up because you don't see results immediately, I've stuck to this routine for nearly a year now, with a few minor changes here and there, and it's only now I'm saying, darn this is amazing.

Morning time - I start of with a quick cleanse with my No7 Hot Cloth Cleanser, I only use about half a pump. Then depending on how my skin is feeling I may give it a few sprays of the Caudalie Beauty Elixir, this is great if you're skin is looking a bit tired or lacking something, it's like caffeine for your face. Lastly is the Botanics All Bright Day Cream, which I only apply sometimes, but particularly if I know I'm going to be outside a lot as it has SPF15 and we all know how important SPF is (but I am quite naughty and often skip this step). In my opinion you don't need to use too much in the morning, at the end of the day (well the start, oh haha) all you've done is slept.

Night time - We all know how much I love Bioderma Crealine H2O. This is a complete  make-up artist favourite as it is basically water that removes make-up effortlessly. Again I sometimes skip this if I have very little make-up on and just cleanse. However if I've been out on a night out or have applied heavy eye make-up then I reach for this stuff and it removes everything so easily. Then my trusty No.7 Hot Cloth Cleanser is whipped out. You can read my post about how much I adore this stuff here. I apply a pump or two all over my face and then remove it with warm water and a face-cloth or muslin cloth. I honestly cannot recommend this cleanser enough. The final bedtime step for me is a moisturiser. I have tried a few recently but the one I love the most is the La Roche Posay Effaclar Duo. It is great for clearing spot prone skin and leaving skin feeling much clearer and healthier.

I have two face masks that I pop on depending on how my skin is feeling. If it's feeling dull or tired or I'm having a few blemishes I  use the Superfacialist Tea Flower Pore Purifying Clay Mask (what a mouthful). This is my favourite thing to apply, you slap a thick layer all over your face and it hardens (such a funny feeling) and then you wash it off with warm water. It leaves your skin so much clearer and healthier. The other time I love a mask is when I'm suffering from dry skin. For this it's Origins Drink Up Intensive mask. Slather it on before you go to sleep and I promise you'll wake up with hydrated skin, your face literally drinks it up.

  1. Great post! Everything looks amazing!

  2. I've heard so much good hype about the Origin's stuff. Have you tried the charcoal mask they do too? I'm very tempted of splurging on some of their goodies...
    Hope you're well, my sweet!

  3. Love the post and I definitely need to try the Bioderma make up remover! xx
